More than 500 guests from China and Singapore — including representatives from international business associations, the media, students and members of the business community from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area — attended to mark Singapore’s national milestone and the continuing deepening of ties between the two countries.

The event was organized by the Singapore Chamber of Commerce and Industry in China (SingCham) Guangdong, which has previously held gala dinners in Beijing, Chengdu, Chongqing, Shanghai, Suzhou and Qingdao. As the final stop on this celebration tour, the Shenzhen dinner carried special significance.

Juana Lee, vice chair and secretary-general of SingCham Guangdong and executive advisor to SingCham Youth, reviewed the group’s achievements over the past year and called on businesses and community sectors to do more to support youth development.

The evening featured a diverse program of performances and interactive segments, including Nyonya dance and Wing Chun demonstrations, vocal performances and a standout set by original music duo BZ1.

The dinner concluded on a high note, with attendees joining in a rousing rendition of “Count On Me, Singapore” in tribute to the nation’s 60th anniversary.
