On Sept. 15, Shenzhen-based tech firm MINIEYE officially launched its unmanned logistics brand, Little Bamboo, debuting two models, the T5 and T8, and offering the industry a new option for automotive-grade unmanned logistics vehicles.

The T5 has a cargo volume of 5.5 cubic meters, a maximum payload of 1,000 kilograms, and a maximum range of 180 kilometers, primarily targeting last-mile urban delivery, supermarket retail, and fresh-food distribution. The T8 provides an 8.5 cubic meter cargo volume to better meet high-capacity transport needs, with a maximum payload of 1,700 kilograms and a maximum range of 240 kilometers; it can be widely applied in city distribution, industrial logistics, durable goods warehousing and distribution, and other professional scenarios.

On the hardware side, the Little Bamboo series uses a multi-sensor fusion architecture, including three LiDARs and 11 cameras, delivering a 360-degree, no-blind-spot view to accurately perceive road conditions and enhance driving safety.

To address real-world corner cases, MINIEYE drew on its closed-loop data capabilities and the massive road-data repository accumulated over more than a decade in the industry, then carried out targeted optimizations for unmanned logistics scenarios. This enabled Little Bamboo vehicles to rapidly develop core capabilities for public-road operations, handling complex road conditions, autonomous indoor/outdoor campus cruising, automated parking in work zones, and active safety functions.

Liu Guoqing, founder and chairman of MINIEYE, presents the Little Bamboo vehicles to the audience.

Liu Guoqing, founder and chairman of MINIEYE, said, “As a disruptor in autonomous driving, we hope to bring more advanced L4 technology to a wider range of diverse and complex scenarios to create greater value for users.”

MINIEYE also announced that next-generation Little Bamboo products will be jointly developed with its deep partners in mass-production. The next-generation vehicles will tightly integrate Horizon Robotics’ Dual-Journey 6M chip, RoboSense’s latest EMX LiDAR, and NavInfo’s P-Box positioning system to deliver a more advanced industry solution.

At the launch event, MINIEYE announced the rollout of the first batch of unmanned vehicles and began delivering them to partners — achieving a simultaneous launch and delivery. Guests from municipal governments in Shenzhen, Chengdu, Xi’an, and Jiangyin witnessed the moment. Those cities will be among the first deployment locations for the Little Bamboo vehicles.

On Sept. 3, Little Bamboo vehicles received recognition from the Shenzhen branch of China Post and Shenzhen Eastern Bus Co. Ltd.; the three parties signed a strategic cooperation agreement to empower the logistics industry.

Going forward, MINIEYE will continue deep co-creation with ecosystem partners to further realize the Little Bamboo vehicle’s value and expand the boundaries of autonomous-driving deployment.
