Bao' an makes full preparation for National Games events

Bao’an District has made comprehensive preparations for the events of the upcoming National Games, as announced at a news conference held Sept. 16. 

Some 281 athletes from 18 model teams across the country will gather to compete in the finals of the mass participation model (ships and vehicles) event to be held in Songgang Sports Center and Songgang Wuzhipa Park on Sept. 20. 

Bao’an District will also host another four events of Men’s Football U18 and U20, Boxing, and the Marathon of the National Special Olympics Games and National Games for Persons with Disabilities. Furthermore, the district will ensure support for the closing ceremonies of the 15th National Games, the 12th National Games for Persons with Disabilities and the 9th National Special Olympic Games.

To ensure smooth operations for these events, four major venues in Bao'an, including Bao'an Stadium and Bao'an Gymnasium, have undergone comprehensive upgrades and now integrate smart services such as AR and VR guided tours, AI digital humans, and intelligent navigation. Local tech companies have also provided cutting-edge support with ultra-high-definition large screens and smart seating.

Furthermore, Bao'an has also conducted multiple rounds of practical drills to continuously optimize procedures and identify potential risks.

During the event period, Bao'an International Airport is expected to handle approximately 21,000 passenger trips for athletes and officials. In collaboration with the airport, Bao'an is committed to building a highly efficient and professional five-star arrival and departure experience to make every guest feel the sincerity and efficiency of the city.
