Shenzhen Metro remains fully suspended, with no timeline for service resumption. Residents are urged to avoid unnecessary outings and monitor official channels for updates.
Cross-border traffic partially halted
Cross-border transport services have also been affected. Following the No. 10 Hurricane Signal issued by the Hong Kong Observatory at 2:40 a.m., the following changes are in effect:
Luohu and Futian stations MTR East Rail Line services are suspended
All Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong high-speed rail services at West Kowloon Station are cancelled today
At Wenjindu and Liantang checkpoints, cross-border vehicles can clear customs, but cross-border public transport is suspended
At Huanggang Checkpoint, cross-border vehicles continue operating; shuttle buses run once per hour on a limited schedule
Rain and wind intensify; no casualties reported
As of 7:30 a.m., the city recorded an average rainfall of 30 mm, sustained winds at level 8, with coastal gusts reaching level 12.
According to the Shenzhen Flood, Drought and Typhoon Prevention Office, 174 trees were reported down, but no typhoon-related injuries or fatalities had occurred as of this morning.
Tree branches litter a roadside in Jingtian, Futian District as heavy rain from Typhoon Ragasa continues this morning.
Rain alerts expanded citywide
At 7:55 a.m., the Shenzhen Meteorological Observatory issued an orange rain alert for parts of Nanshan, Futian, Pingshan, Luohu, Yantian, Dapeng New District, and nearby coastal bays. Rainfall of 30–40 mm is expected in the next three hours in these areas.
A yellow alert has been extended to all other districts, placing the entire city under flood prevention status.
A yellow rainstorm warning signals that significant rainfall is either occurring or expected — typically 50 mm or more within six hours.
Authorities urge residents to avoid low-lying areas and stay alert for potential flooding, landslides, and other rain-triggered hazards.
