With the National Day holiday (Oct. 1–8) approaching, Splendid China and China Folk Culture Villages are centering their lineup on a series of intangible cultural heritage experiences, unveiling new activities, settings, and attractions.

By linking daytime folk-culture programs with a trendy nighttime carnival, the park aims to let visitors enjoy the diverse charms of Chinese culture throughout the day. The park is also offering a National Day early-bird special: full-day tickets from just 169 yuan (US$23.60) and night-session tickets for 79 yuan.

During the holiday, the park will stage a special performance, “The Princess Weiyoung,” showcasing thrilling traditional acrobatics and ceremonial rites from various dynasties. A grand parade of floats will also celebrate National Day with the public. Visitors can enter the “Splendid Market · A Dream of Splendor” themed area to try on period costumes and take part in a range of intangible-heritage, hands-on experiences — including silhouette cutting, ink rubbings, and inside-glass painting — watching demonstrations or joining in and taking home a unique holiday keepsake.

At night the park will open four haunted houses. From Oct. 1–8 each evening will feature the finale show “Dragon and Phoenix Dance,” alongside traditional fire pot and iron flower performances drawn from intangible cultural heritage.

On Oct. 18–19 the park will team up with the Shenzhen International Gaming Festival for a pop-up anime event, inviting influencers with followings of over one million and offering visitors a fully immersive anime and gaming experience. This cross-genre mix of Chinese traditional style, ACG (animation, comics, and games), and trendy collectibles injects fresh energy into nighttime tourism — whether visiting as a family or with friends, everyone can find their own way to celebrate at Splendid China.
