SZ InnoX establishes new center to advance sports tech

Local tech incubator Shenzhen InnoX Academy launched its Sports Tech Innovation Center on Saturday at the academy in Nanshan District, showcasing a range of the latest products from its incubated teams.

The event attracted guests from government departments, partner companies, investment institutions, and key figures in the sports field to witness this event.

“Young talents have enormous potential. It is our duty to establish a systematic platform to help them bring their products to market,” said Yu Ying, deputy president of Shenzhen InnoX Academy. She elaborated on the academy's expertise and forward-looking perspective in intelligent hardware, announcing that the academy will make a strong push into the sports tech field to turn innovative ideas into reality.

Since its establishment, Shenzhen InnoX Academy has been dedicated to empowering young startup teams. To date, it has incubated over 770 entrepreneurs and 80 projects, many of which are in the sports technology sector, forming a highly dynamic project matrix.

Olivier Robinet, Senior Vice President of International Innovation at the globally renowned sports brand Decathlon, and Damien Mourier, Head of Asia Innovation, attended the launch ceremony. They engaged in in-depth exchanges with various parties, experienced the products, and were awarded the title of "Global Sports Tech Innovation Partner."

During the Sports Tech Experience Day, smart sports projects from the Shenzhen InnoX Academy ecosystem were showcased. Combining dynamism, excitement, and technological innovation, they offered users an immersive future sports experience. From smart training and sports rehabilitation to short-distance mobility and daily leisure, the event demonstrated the deep integration of sports and technology across broader scenarios.
