Fireworks display in HK
To celebrate the 76th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, the 2025 National Day Fireworks Display will illuminate the sky over Victoria Harbor in Hong Kong at 8 p.m. on Oct. 1.
This 23-minute spectacular will be launched from three barges and feature more than 30,000 fireworks across eight dazzling acts, set to a mix of classical, patriotic, and contemporary music. Prime viewing areas include Tsim Sha Tsui, Wan Chai, and other harborside locations.

Recognized as a national intangible cultural heritage item, the traditional Tai Hang Fire Dragon Dance returns to the streets of Hong Kong for the Mid-Autumn Festival. The event showcases a 67-meter-long dragon adorned with incense sticks, performed by a team of 300, accompanied by a smaller dragon danced by children. This tradition dates back to the 19th century, when it was believed to drive away plague.

Xichong camping music festival
This round-the-clock music and outdoor festival offers sunrise yoga, frisbee, live performances, midnight fireworks, beach treasure hunts, family sports games, and a camping bazaar. Designed as a holistic seaside getaway, it caters to both families and young campers.

Leehom Wang
“The Best Place” tour commemorates Leehom Wang’s 30 years in the music industry. He will once again transform into “Music-Man,” performing live on instruments including piano, violin, guitar, and erhu. The concert is produced by a world-class team featuring stunning lighting, impressive stage effects, and dynamic holographic projections. Surprise duets with local artists may also occur.

Shenzhen Intl. Auto Show
Shenzhen International Auto Show is scheduled for Oct. 1-5.
Under the theme “Playful Journeys,” this auto show will display more than 800 vehicles. Attendees can enjoy car purchase subsidies, interactive zones, IP-themed markets, live stages, and gaming tournaments.

Georgette Chen exhibition
The “Georgette Chen: At Home in the World” exhibition reunites Georgette Chen’s paintings created between the 1930s and 1970s with archival material, inviting a fresh reassessment of her contribution in Southeast Asian modern art. Chen is a Chinese-Singaporean artist whose cross-cultural life shaped a distinctive voice in 20th-century modern art.

Dunhuang art
Said to be the largest and most comprehensive Dunhuang culture and art exhibition ever held in South China, the “Dunhuang Splendors Culture and Art Exhibition of Mogao Grottoes” showcases the richest and most extensive collection of Dunhuang relics to date.

The exhibition features a total of 205 precious pieces and sets of relics, including six digitally recreated special caves, four replicated painted sculptures, over 60 reproductions of wall paintings, and more than 80 sets of rare original artifacts.

Banksy
The “Banksy Is Nowhere” exhibition features approximately 110 works that offers a comprehensive overview of the prints and street practice of the street artist who emerged in the U.K. city of Bristol in the 1990s and has remained anonymous.

On display are 34 Pest Control Office (PCO)-certified prints, including the iconic “Girl With Balloon,” and dozens of objects, coins, film materials and archival documents that trace Banksy’s artistic life.
