Vans, SPACE MOLLY light up SZ with night skateboarding and pop-up experience

The vibrant energy of skateboarding collided with the imaginative world of art toys as Vans and SPACE MOLLY launched a dynamic pop-up event in Shenzhen on Monday.

Partnering with Tmall’s premium launch platform, the "Vans x SPACE MOLLY" activity transformed the central square of the One Avenue shopping mall in Futian District into a nocturnal celebration of street culture.

The event's centerpiece was Vans' first-ever official night skateboarding showcase, a high-energy spectacle that brought the brand's iconic "Off the Wall" spirit to life under the night sky. Professional skaters, including Vans-sponsored athletes, kicked off the festivities with an impressive display of skill and creativity. The crowd witnessed a series of jaw-dropping maneuvers — from aerial tricks on ramps to high-speed flat-ground moves — all set against custom-built obstacles inspired by the SPACE MOLLY character.

The skatepark itself was a visual feast, featuring a transparent starting platform adorned with graffiti and neon-lit obstacles, one of which encased a large 1000% MEGA MOLLY figure. This unique setup attracted both seasoned skaters and captivated onlookers.

Beyond the thrills of the skate demo, the event offered an immersive experience into the collaborative world of Vans and SPACE MOLLY. The pop-up store, designed as a giant, life-sized Vans shoebox, served as the central hub. Inside, visitors can get an exclusive first look and early purchase opportunity for the second wave of the Vans x SPACE MOLLY collaboration, featuring co-branded footwear, apparel, and limited-edition merchandise.

Starting Sept. 30, the custom skatepark is open to the public, offering free coaching sessions for those eager to experience the freedom of skateboarding firsthand.
