Mid-Autumn celebration lights up CUHK-Shenzhen campus

An international student savors the mooncake during the 2025 Mid-Autumn Festival Gala hosted by The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen (CUHK-Shenzhen) in Shenzhen on Sept. 26. 

The gala, themed “Sailing Dreams Under the Moonlight,” brought together over 500 students and staff for a festive evening.

The celebration featured a lively outdoor carnival inspired by the tale “The Monkey Who Tried to Catch the Moon,” with traditional games, student-run booths, and nostalgic performances. Indoors, a dynamic T-shaped stage and aerial performances — including a flying Chang’e during the lucky draw — created a vivid blend of tradition, technology, and artistry.
