Shenzhen was ranked second in China for overall urban development by an index report released by the China National Institute of Standardization yesterday, the eve of the 56th World Standards Day. The country's first‑of‑its‑kind report evaluated 36 cities on 90 indicators aligned with the U.N. 2030 Sustainable Development Goals and China's urban policies. Beijing, Shenzhen, and Shanghai led innovation metrics, while Guiyang, Changsha, and Shenzhen stood out for eco‑livability.
