Shenzhong Link's West Artificial Island to open to public Saturday

The West Artificial Island of the Shenzhong (Shenzhen-Zhongshan) Link will open to visitors on a trial basis starting Saturday, Shenzhen Satellite TV reported yesterday. The 130,000 sqm facility features an observation deck, an exhibition hall showcasing China’s cross-sea engineering tech, and a café ideal for sunset views. Visitors can take shuttle buses to the island from pickup points at the Qianhai Bay Cross-City Bus Terminal in Qianhai and the Renmin Building in Futian District. Two shuttle buses will depart daily from Qianhai at 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. and three buses will run daily from the Renmin Building at 10 a.m. 1:30 p.m., and 3 p.m. Private vehicles are prohibited from entering the island.
