A key highlight of this year’s expo is its first market-oriented operating mechanism, which shifts focus beyond display booths to facilitating matches based on corporate demand, industrial resource linking, and transaction finalization. This approach aims to make market-driven dynamism the core driver of the event.
The exhibition is structured around four core innovation zones — marine energy, deep-sea technology, intelligent marine equipment, and marine electronic information — supplemented by high-potential application fields such as modern marine services, marine biomedicine, and coastal tourism.
Hall 7 features industry giants including China Merchants, China Mobile, China Unicom, and Shenzhen Port Group, which are presenting a range of advanced technologies and innovative products tailored to marine applications.
In Hall 5, the marine energy section highlights frontier solutions in offshore wind power, photovoltaics, hydrogen production, and comprehensive ocean energy utilization, alongside engineering equipment, new materials, and digital innovations.

The expo also features seven high-level forums that address growth of the blue economy, marine legal systems, and global ocean governance. One notable inclusion is the APEC Marine Seminar.
Complementing the professional agenda are public outreach activities, such as open days aboard the research vessels "Xiang Yang Hong 10" and "Haiyang Dizhi-10," and polar science initiatives in schools. These programs aim to bring deep-sea exploration closer to the public and raise marine awareness.
Another flagship program, the "Deep Blue Voyager 2035" global marine survey, will be launched by Shenzhen during the expo. It will combine scientific research, corporate technology development, and public education to support China’s maritime development strategy.

Concurrently, the expo will host nearly 50 public activities as part of Shenzhen International Ocean Week, offering a mix of art, knowledge, gastronomy, sports, and ecology-themed events.
According to official data, Shenzhen’s gross ocean product has surpassed 500 billion yuan (US$70.2 billion). The city is home to 110,000 marine market entities and more than 370 marine research teams.
