Over 400 experts, industrial insiders, and enterprise representatives gathered in Shenzhen for the 14th World Industrial Development Forum on Wednesday to discuss paths to integrate artificial intelligence (AI) into industries and manufacturing.
The forum, themed "AI Power: Intelligent Development Paves a New Chapter for Industry," invited 11 guests to deliver speeches focused on AI and firm transformation.

Guo Wanda, executive vice president of the China Development Institute, noted five growth impetuses for Shenzhen’s industrial development: terminal industries; emerging sectors such as low-altitude and marine economies; integrated circuits and biomedicine; new service industries; and advantageous sectors like electronic information, which will collectively build a future-oriented industrial ecosystem.
To seize the strategic opportunities presented by the development of the AI and robotics industries, the Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Development Committee, initiated by the Federation of Shenzhen Industries, was officially inaugurated at the forum.
The committee will systematically integrate industrial resources, foster a collaborative innovation ecosystem, and provide member enterprises with a professional platform and core support for frontier technology planning and integrated development.
"Shenzhen is aiming to become a global hub for AI applications. The committee will continue to promote the integration of AI and manufacturing and support firms in making the leap from traditional to intelligent manufacturing," said Wu Li, acting president of the Federation of Shenzhen Industries.
The Shenzhen Industrial Award was also presented in three categories at the forum, with 10 winners in each category: outstanding enterprises, industrialists, and projects. Regarded as the "Oscars" of Shenzhen’s industrial sector, the award aims to establish industry standards and recognize excellence within the field.
