SZ to ban drones Friday for National Games finale

The Shenzhen government announced yesterday a temporary ban on all “Low, Slow, Small” (LSS) aircraft and airborne objects within city airspace from 12:01 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. this Friday, coinciding with the closing ceremony of the 15th National Games. The restricted LSS category refers to low-altitude, slow-speed, small-sized devices, including light and ultra-light aircraft, light helicopters, gliders and hang gliders, powered parachutes, hot air balloons and airships, all types of drones, model aircraft, tethered and free-floating balloons, and kites.
