Shenzhen University of Information Technology (SUIT) mobilized more than 1,000 faculty and students to form the "Little Dolphins" volunteer team for the 15th National Games, which concluded Friday.

Serving in more than 10 roles, including competition services, technical support, and media operations, the team earned broad recognition for its professional competence and warm demeanor.

A small moment at the spectator services post captured the team's growth. When student volunteer Wang accepted a piece of candy from a young spectator who said, "Sister, thank you for your hard work," she was moved to tears. From initial nervousness in talking to strangers to confidently greeting every visitor, that little candy symbolized her transformation.

To ensure seamless service throughout the Games, SUIT established a comprehensive support system. Through multi-department coordination, volunteers received full backing in areas such as schedule adjustments and welfare support. Professional training formed the foundation of the "Little Dolphins": the competition-services group refined efficient procedures through repeated drills, the anti-doping assistance team studied protocols and communication skills, and the event-scheduling group sharpened precise data-handling through thousands of simulations. All volunteers internalized the service standards of punctuality, accuracy, friendliness, and professionalism.

From training facilities to live venues, SUIT students translated classroom knowledge into practical ability. At the swimming arena, material handlers achieved zero-delay transfers, the electronic-judging team resolved sudden equipment failures with expertise, the medical support post was commended for standardized procedures, and the publicity team produced overnight bulletins to share event highlights promptly.

Beyond professional performance were many acts of personal dedication: volunteer Huang continued on post despite feeling unwell, and volunteer Li, who served five years in the military, pressed on even with painful blisters. The Games organizing committee praised the effort: "SUIT volunteers are disciplined, highly skilled in their duties, and our most trusted partners."
