Shenzhen-based UBTECH has secured a 264 million yuan (US$37 million) humanoid robot purchase deal from Fangchenggang city in Guangxi, breaking its previous global record set in September when it won a 250 million yuan contract. The new order will primarily deploy the firm’s Walker S2 model. These robots will be assigned to various tasks including passenger flow management and patrol inspections at border ports, logistics and commercial services, as well as facility monitoring at large-scale steel, copper, and aluminum production bases across China. Delivery of the order is scheduled for December.
