Join in a stroll around Xili Lake greenway this Saturday

This Saturday morning (Nov. 29), the Greenway (Blueway) Around Xili Lake in Nanshan District will host a major outdoor celebration: “Time with Nanshan” — the 2025 Greenway (Blueway) Around Xili Lake International Stroll Carnival and Xili Neighborhood Book Fair.

The walking route spans approximately 6 kilometers, featuring pop-up exhibits at every kilometer mark. From start to finish you’ll hit spots like: Miscanthus Terraces, Firefly-Lit Garden, Rice Paddies and Bridge, Three Rivers Freehand Brushwork, Hengtang Hanging Inkstone, and Vibrant Dakan Park.

A glimpse at the highlights:

The morning will kick off with high-energy African-style dances to set an electrifying mood. Prior to your walk, stop by the “Healthy China Nanshan Tour” scale station near the start to try the palm-scan weigh-in feature to check your weight and embrace a new healthy-living vibe.

At the Rice Paddies and Bridge Station, witness a performance and parade by the elegant Twelve Flower Goddesses. This offers perfect photo ops with the dancers. Upon reaching the finish — Vibrant Dakan Park — you will find the HEY!STAGE community co-creation stage still alive with nonstop entertainment. The back-to-back schedule includes retro swing dance, a string quartet, live bands, Sichuan opera face-changing, and more. 

As you explore the bazaar, be sure to participate in the various Xili-themed interactive games located throughout the area, including an engaging, lychee-themed beanbag toss game and an egret-themed balancing challenge.

The event organizers have also made special limited-edition cultural merch. Complete the check-in and social media posting tasks to claim your exclusive gift. Gifts are limited, so hurry! It’s first come, first served until supplies run out!

The event is hosted by Xili Subdistrict Office, organized by Shenzhen Evening News, and is free of charge.

As the event is entirely outdoors, please wear comfortable sports attire, stay hydrated, and use sun protection. We encourage green travel to help protect the Greenway (Blueway) Around Xili Lake environment.
