ISNS winter carnival raises 140,000 yuan for charity

The International School of Nanshan Shenzhen (ISNS) campus was transformed into a vibrant winter wonderland Sunday as students, faculty, families, and community partners gathered for the school’s Winter Magic Charity Carnival 2025.

The event featured games, food, live performances, crafts, and charity market stalls, bringing activity and holiday spirit to the campus. Upon entering the school, visitors encountered stalls serving treats from various countries, including sushi, pizza, festive desserts, and coffee.

The school’s Parent Association hosted stalls in the atrium offering goods, gifts, and donated books. Proceeds from the sales will fund school initiatives and community projects.

On the school’s field, the Gem Stage served as a centerpiece for student performances and live shows. Long lines formed at the raffle booth for the school’s largest-ever drawing, which featured 256 prizes collectively valued at over 200,000 yuan (US$28,280).

"It’s a nice event. Everyone's here together. It brings a community together," a faculty member, who declined to give her name, told Shenzhen Daily.

According to ISNS, the event raised 140,000 yuan for Captivating International, an organization empowering women and children in rural China that the school has supported for nearly a decade.
