The willingness to push the boundaries of innovation is what has given Shenzhen its edge. It has gained the fame as a city of innovation over the years, from London, Milan and New York to Toronto, Sydney and Vienna. The city leaves on them an impression of fresh, aspiring and creative vitality, my foreign friends having been to Shenzhen told me. I wish more people will learn about, visit or even stay in the young city of Shenzhen, not only drawn by its high-tech sectors, but also because it is a city with love and vision. Welcome to Shenzhen, a young city of miracles!

Founder of DJI Innovation Technology Co.
Shenzhen's innovation is supported by the city's industry structure and is encouraged by the social mechanism. More importantly, all talents in the city are believers of innovation. Every seed of dream has the chance to grow and bloom, and DJI is one of such seeds. I hope that Shenzhen will continue to adhere to the spirit of hard work, believe in the strength of talents, and stick to the innovation-oriented development pattern.

I have been living in Shenzhen since 2008. I decided to choose Shenzhen, as I found Shenzhen a perfect place for starting up my engineering business. Shenzhen is a very international city, and the local government has made a lot of effort in the globalization plan. Shenzhen has the ecosystem that is perfectly tailored to the high-tech industry and it is full of warmth and diversity. I am proud to be a Shenzhener. For many people around the world, it has become home away from home.

With my personal experience, coupled with some common thoughts shared by some expats living in the city, Shenzhen has proven to be a metropolitan modern city supporting youths' entrepreneurial spirit and ambitions with its exclusive cultural heritage of embracing all nationalities to be part of the city's dream. Investing in Shenzhen means financial freedom with protection. Come to Shenzhen to be part of the Dream!

Shenzhen delights and amazes visitors and residents through what can be called "a butterfly effect." What's a butterfly effect? The ability to adapt to and take the lead in a changing world. Since I arrived in Shenzhen, for example, the city's vitality has allowed it to remake itself, and through its ongoing transformations, remake the world. During the 1990s, Shenzhen was the "world's factory" and colloquially known as "the Special Zone." In the first decade of the new millennium, it was quickly transforming into "the Silicon Valley of Hardware," while in the 2010s, Shenzhen has remade itself again as a "creative city." In fact, these monikers point to the real reason Shenzhen has become one of China's top-four cities: the dreams and ambitions of the city's residents.
