The 2025 “Ring in Spring Festival in Guangdong” culture and tourism campaign launched in Shenzhen on Wednesday. As part of a provincial effort to attract visitors during the Lunar New Year holiday, the event offers a range of discounts and vouchers, including travel subsidies, ride-hailing discounts, and prize giveaways, aimed at boosting holiday tourism and consumer spending.

An engaging exhibition is being held until this Sunday on the third floor of the Sea World Culture and Arts Center in Shekou, Nanshan District.

Glow Shenzhen 2024, a spectacular light festival, has officially commenced and will run until Feb. 16.

The pink trumpet trees (Tabebuia rosea) are in full bloom at the Houhai Zhongxin River Park in Nanshan District, transforming the park into a vibrant sea of soft pink flowers.

Shenzhen's first theme park has recently introduced a new attraction inspired by the popular Chinese period drama “A Dream of Splendor” in partnership with the show’s producer, Tencent Video. Spanning an area of 20,000 square meters, the space recreates iconic scenes from the series, offering visitors the chance to pose for photos, dine and enjoy tea at retro-style eateries, witness live performances, shop for souvenirs, and engage in interactive games.

Folk art ensembles from China, India, Indonesia, Kyrgyzstan, Senegal, and Thailand were part of the openingceremony of the first Shenzhen International Folk Arts Season at the Shenzhen Universiade Center in Longgang District. This five-day event aims to highlight the dynamism and allure of global folk arts and culture, and promote the convergence and growth of cultural and tourism industries.

While northern China is blanketed in snow, Shenzhen remains a vibrant paradise of blooming flowers. The 40th Shenzhen Chrysanthemum Fair taking place at Donghu Park in Luohu District features six distinct exhibition areas showcasing the beauty and variety of chrysanthemums.

The “For Dreams” themed carnival, which will continue through Wednesday, showcases a massive Snorlax exhibit, captivating light displays, and vibrant brand pop-up shops.
