The 7th Shenzhen International Photography Exhibition opened at OCT-LOFT in Nanshan District on Thursday. On display are 59 documentary photos and 58 artistic photos submitted by photographers from 18 countries.

Summertime Culture Shop concludes
The third edition of the Summertime Culture Shop, a bilingual summer camp organized by Zhaoshang Subdistrict of Nanshan District, concluded Friday. The two-week camp attracted a total of 60 local and expat children, including 25 from India, the U.S., Israel, Mexico, Poland, the U.K., and Argentina, according to the Nanshan International Cultural & Service Center (NSIC).

A high-level international forum on mangrove protection opened yesterday and will last through Friday. Mangrove is Shenzhen’s city tree. Shenzhen has 213.62 hectares of mangrove trees and aims to build itself into an international wetland city by 2035, with 50% of its wetlands under protection, as per a draft plan of the city government.
Cartoon & animation festival ends
The 12th Shenzhen Cartoon and Animation Festival concluded yesterday at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center in Futian District. The five-day fair featured appearances from prominent Chinese animation voice actors, comic artists and cosplayers.
Algerian president in town
Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune is on a two-day visit to Shenzhen, the second and last stop of his first state visit to China as the president that will end today. During his stay in Shenzhen, the president is scheduled to hold talks with Shenzhen leaders and visit local companies such as BYD and Huawei.

The Summertime Culture Shop kicked off at Nanshan International Cultural Exchange and Service Center yesterday. The bilingual summer camp consists of two sessions, each featuring 10 fun games where children can try their hands at various challenges such as puzzle games and food making. The first session has attracted 30 local and expat children to participate.
