BRI: Shenzhen in Action
Since its launch in 2013, the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), or the Silk Road Economic Belt and the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road, has evolved from ideas into actions, from a vision into reality, and from a general framework into concrete projects in China and beyond. Shenzhen, an active participant and a strategically important link along the Belt and Road, has seen its trade and people-to-people ties with BRI countries getting closer through policy coordination, infrastructure connectivity, financial facilitation, and new-sector cooperation. City of Superchargers
Shenzhen is accelerating efforts in building itself into a City of Superchargers. The city, which had built a total of 44 supercharging stations by September, plans to build 150 public supercharging stations by the end of 2023, with the goal of doubling it to 300 by March 2024.
24th Shenzhen Reading Month
The 24th Shenzhen Reading Month, with over 2,000 activities lined up and 11 subvenues set up across the city, intends to advocate understanding history, facilitate the inheritance and innovation of excellent traditional Chinese culture, and strive to create a new culture that belongs to this era.
25th China Hi-Tech Fair
The 25th China Hi-Tech Fair, the largest in its history in terms of exhibition area, is held simultaneously at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center in Futian District and the Shenzhen World Exhibition and Convention Center in Bao'an from Nov. 15 to 19.
15th China Cup International Regatta
The 15th China Cup International Regatta was held at Daya Bay in Dapeng New Area from Nov. 2 to 6 and attracted more than 200 teams of 1,200-odd sailors from over 30 countries and regions.
BRI 10th Anniversary
This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) proposed by President Xi Jinping. Aiming to revive the ancient Silk Road with new concepts, new mechanisms and new practices, the initiative has brought subtle and crucial changes across BRI countries.
