Overseas travelers surge
Data show that around 500,000 overseas travelers entered China through the Shenzhen airport in the first half of 2024, marking a 212% year-on-year increase. Among them, around 90,000 utilized visa-free access.

Barcelona delegations seek win-win cooperation in SZ
Organized by the Shenzhen Association of Industry and Commerce in Spain, a delegation comprising around 30 representatives from Spanish enterprises, research institutions, investors, and other entities is visiting Shenzhen from July 6 to 10. During their stay in Shenzhen, the delegation visited local enterprises such as BYD, Mindray, and Huawei, toured local landmarks including Ping An International Finance Center, and explored cooperation opportunities at the district level by visiting Dapeng New Area, Pingshan District, Longhua District, and more.
'The Phantom of the Opera' is in town
The acclaimed musical “The Phantom of the Opera” from London’s West End has launched a new international tour in Shenzhen, featuring 40 performances at the Bay Opera of Shenzhen in Bao’an District through Aug. 4. Vanuatu Prime Minister visits SZ
At the invitation of Chinese Premier Li Qiang, Prime Minister of the Republic of Vanuatu Charlot Salwai is on an official visit to China from July 7 to 12. Salwai arrived in Shenzhen from Guangzhou by a high-speed train at about 3 p.m. on July 8. Subsequently, he visited the Nanshan Energy Ecological Park.
