A city’s impression often comes from a few photos and vivid descriptions shared by friends. While these snapshots can’t capture the full picture, they plant a seed of curiosity, sparking a desire to explore. Shenzhen Daily and EyeShenzhen’s new “Snapping Shenzhen” series follows several expat photographers living in the city. Through their lenses, they capture the city’s scenery and faces, documenting the countless beautiful moments that make Shenzhen unique. Their work spreads the city’s charm worldwide, encouraging more people to discover and appreciate Shenzhen.

Shenzhen has entered its “two sessions” season with the city’s political advisory body and the city’s legislature holding their annual meetings.

The 34th ITTF-ATTU Asian Cup opened at the Shenzhen Universiade Sports Center Stadium in Longgang District on Feb. 19. Franz Eppensteiner, an expat living in Shanghai, traveled to Shenzhen to watch the games.

The 14th China International New Media Short Film Festival was unveiled Feb. 19 at the Guangming Cultural and Art Center.
