The Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) was launched by China, but it belongs to the world and benefits the whole of humanity, said a white paper released by China’s State Council Information Office yesterday.

Selma Knudsen, a Croatian civil engineer, said she feels proud to be a member of the Peljesac Bridge construction team. The bridge, a project of China's Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), was opened for traffic on July 26 last year. The bridge, she said, fulfills her late father's wishes to build a bridge over the Mali Ston Bay connecting Komarna on the Croatian mainland with Brijesta on the Peljesac Peninsula.

Leon Kossivi, a young Togolese employee of a Chinese company, has engaged in multiple Sino-Africa infrastructure projects under the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).
