In a fusion of ancient heritage and cutting-edge technology, three humanoid robots played a set of 2,000-year-old bronze instruments Sunday night, marking a historic first for the opening ceremony of the 15th National Games.

The 15th National Games, jointly hosted by Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao, marks the first time the event has been co-hosted by multiple regions and the first time it has been staged in Hong Kong and Macao.

The men's 10km marathon swimming event of the 15th National Games concluded at Judiaosha Beach, Dapeng New District on Nov. 6. Zhang Ziyang of the Hubei team defended his title with a time of 1:59:55.3. The silver and bronze medals were claimed by Liu Peixin from Shandong Province and Lan Tianchen from Fujian Province, respectively.
