Meaning:
“纸片” means “paper,” and “人” means “person.” People use this term in two senses, either to describe those who are very slim (with bodyweight as light as a piece of paper) or to refer to a fictional character, often in games, animation or comics. The saying went viral with the popular role playing game “Evol×Love,” in which players can text, chat and call the male leads while developing their own career as a media producer. The male leads are very handsome and many players fall in love with these “paper men.”
