Residents with yellow “粤康码” (Yuekangma) health codes can get free nucleic acid tests at the 56 designated hospitals in the city, the Shenzhen Municipal Health Commission said yesterday.
According to the rules of Yuekangma, two groups of Shenzhen residents can have yellow health codes, an official said at a press conference Sunday.
One group consists of those who have stayed in Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport for more than one hour from June 10 to 18, including passengers and employees working at the airport.
The second group refers to those who have stayed in the places where the recently reported confirmed COVID-19 cases and their close contacts and sub-close contacts had stayed and traveled.
As of Monday, Shenzhen had reported four local confirmed COVID-19 cases since June 14.
On Sunday evening, the city’s health commission released a list of 55 hospitals for nucleic acid testing for residents with yellow health codes.
According to the commission, yellow health codes mean that the individuals carry an element of risk of COVID-19 infection, and their travel is subject to some restrictions, such as not being allowed to attend group activities or enter various pubic areas.
Meanwhile, yellow health code holders are not allowed to board a plane or train and must wait for the health code to turn green before they can resume normal travel.
Arriving passengers holding yellow health codes are required to take a nucleic acid test, which is free of charge, at the sampling site in the airport or railway stations, and to avoid taking public transportation to their residences.
