Two perfume brands, KILIAN and Editions DE Parfums Frederic Malle, which come from Estee Lauder, opened their first shops in Shenzhen at Mixc Word Friday, targeting high-end perfume consumers.
KILIAN was founded in Paris, France,in 2007. The founder, Kilian Hennessy, heir to the Hennessy family, created the brand by combining French perfume’s expertise with the Hennessy family’s understanding of cognac brewing. Estee Lauder acquired the brand in 2016.
French fragrance brand Editions DE Parfums Frederic Malle, which was founded in 2000, was acquired by Estee Lauder in 2014.
The KILIAN store is built in Art Deco style, which is a presentation of the combination of Hennessy family’s long-standing wine-making culture and fragrance art. The shop is equipped with a new rotating round table for displaying perfumes, so that customers can quickly visit and easily experience all the perfumes. KILIAN’s signature fragrance works are also displayed in the wine bar and on the wall, which provides a strong visual impact, an interpretation of the concept of a fragrance bar and French luxury.
According to the latest data, the Estee Lauder companies achieved a double-digit organic sales increase on the Chinese mainland in the third quarter and has strong double-digit growth compared with the previous one or two years.
