Exhibition commemorating over 1,000 episodes of One Piece animation series

A traveling exhibition in China featuring characters, manuscripts and classic moments of the One Piece animation series was inaugurated today at the Art Center of China Resources Tower in Nanshan District.

To commemorate the broadcasting of the animation’s more than 1,000 episodes, the exhibition was curated for its fans to recall the classic lines and pictures of the animation.

One Piece is a Japanese manga series created by Eiichiro Oda. The story depicts the adventures of Monkey D. Luffy, a boy whose body gained the properties of rubber after unintentionally eating a Devil Fruit. With his pirate crew, the Straw Hat Pirates, Luffy explores the Grand Line in search of the world’s ultimate treasure known as the “One Piece” in order to become the next King of the Pirates.

With nearly 2,000 square meters’ space, the exhibition provides 14 areas that feature the scenarios of the new world in the animation for fans to interact and take photos with.

A gift shop is also available for visitors at the exit.

Co-hosted by Shenzhen Meki Culture Company and its partners, the event is expected to soon travel to other Chinese cities.
