A booking and inquiry system has been launched on the WeChat account “美丽深圳” (mlszgzh) to allow citizens to check and book sports venues in Shenzhen’s parks, according to the city’s urban management authority.

The system contains information of 40 sports venues in parks and supports booking for 15 sports venues. The remaining 25 sports venues do not need prebooking, according to the authority.

These sports venues include soccer, badminton, basketball, volleyball and tennis courts. The account features information on the venues’ introductions, business hours and related services.

Parks also offer paid professional sports centers as well as free sports venues. Large-scale sports centers include Xiangmi Sports Center, Shenzhen Central Park Sports Center, and Luohu Sports & Leisure Park.

Xiangmi Sports Center in Futian District includes seven standard tennis courts, six basketball courts, one standard 11-player soccer pitch and two seven-player soccer pitches.

Central Park Sports Center, located at the park’s D1 area, covers an area of roughly 10,906 square meters including service facilities with four soccer pitches, two basketball courts and two tennis courts. Coaches are also available at the center.

Luohu Sports & Leisure Park, located in Luohu’s Donghu Park, is composed of seven functional zones including a service center zone, a children’s playground zone and a ball sports zone. Its sports zone includes two seven-player soccer pitches, three five-player soccer pitches, six basketball courts, one tennis court and six badminton courts.
