Gina Alice

German pianist Gina Alice Redlinger, better known as Gina Alice, will play Schubert’s “Kinderszenen, Op. 15, No. 1,” Satie’s “Gymnopédie No. 1,” Prokofiev’s “Prélude in C Major, Op. 12, No. 7,” Rachmaninoff’s “Prelude in D Major, Op. 23, No. 4,” Tchaikovsky’s “Chanson Triste for Piano, Op. 40, No. 2,” Elgar’s “Salutd’Amour,” Chopin’s “Nocturne in E-flat Major, Op. 9 No. 2,” Debussy’s “Clair de lune,” Richter’s “Vladimir’s Blues” and some Chinese tunes.

Most of the selections are from her first album “Wonderworld,” which has 28 tracks ranging from Western to Eastern music and from classical favorites to contemporary film soundtracks.

Gina Alice studied at the Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Frankfurt and at the Berlin University of the Arts. She also studied with Gary Graffman.

Huang Ying

Chinese lyric coloratura soprano Huang Ying will sing songs from operas by Puccini and Cesti, songs by Martini, Poulenc, Delibes, and a few Chinese folk tunes. Her tender and sweet voice, flexible and unassailable technique, authentic musical styles and impassioned stage performances have won accolades worldwide from audiences and the media, who hail her as “the nightingale from China.”

Huang is the first Chinese vocalist to perform a major operatic role in an opera movie. She first came to international attention at age 27, when she made a sensational debut as Cio-Cio San in Frédéric Mitterrand’s 1995 acclaimed feature film “Madame Butterfly.” Since then, she has appeared in opera houses including the Metropolitan Opera, Theater Royal de la Monnaie, Royal Danish Opera and Cologne Opera House, among others.
