Shenzhen Piano Music Festival was founded in 2013, guided by the Publicity Department of the CPC Shenzhen Municipal Committee, Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports Bureau of Shenzhen Municipality, Shenzhen Federation of Literary and Art Circles (SFLAC), and co-sponsored by Shenzhen Mass Culture Association, Shenzhen Yaxing Cultural Communication Co.,Ltd. and Shenzhen New Beat Art Troupe. As an important part of the construction of Shenzhen "City of Piano", the Festival is held once a year. After 10 years, it has become one of the three major piano brand activities in Shenzhen, and is a national piano music event integrating international top piano masters, young and middle-aged pianists, international award-winning young piano rookies and local outstanding piano talents in the city. It consists of master piano concert, Chinese piano works concert, public welfare concert, local outstanding teachers and students' concert, social art education achievement exhibition concert, piano master class, clavichord public welfare exhibition and other sections. It lasts about one month every year. In the past 9 years, the Festival has invited pianists and Chinese pianists from more than 10 countries including Germany, Austria, Russia, France, Poland, the United States, Italy, to hold more than 260 piano master class lectures, 187 piano special performances, and nearly 420,000 people (times) participated in training, performing and viewing.
