Fair ends with new records

The 25th China Hi-Tech Fair (CHTF), which offered a platform for visitors to get a glimpse of state-of-the-art technologies and products, concluded yesterday with multiple new records, according to the organizers.

During the five-day fair, China’s No.1 technology show, a total of 681 new products and technologies made their debuts, setting a new high.

According to statistics, the fair attracted enterprises from 105 countries and regions to participate, which also broke previous records.

The fair attracted nearly 5,000 domestic and foreign enterprises to set up booths this year, with nearly 10,000 projects and products being showcased.

The number of visits in the first four days exceeded that of the entire exhibition period of the previous edition. As of yesterday noon, the fair had recorded 248,000 visits. The cumulative negotiated transaction volume reached 37.279 billion yuan (US$5.16 billion), with the fields of artificial intelligence, intelligent driving, and intelligent manufacturing taking center stage for transactions.

This year’s fair set up 19 themed exhibition areas, with a total exhibition area of 500,000 square meters, 100,000 square meters more than last year. In particular, the exhibition area for specialized and sophisticated enterprises expanded by eight times to reach 5,000 square meters. The number of “little giants” — innovative small and medium-sized enterprises — attending the fair increased by 15 times to approximately 600.

Established in 1999, the CHTF has grown as a national-level exhibition for showcasing high-tech achievements and trading of technological products.

The fair not only focuses on the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, but also gathers top scientific experts from around the world. A total of 132 themed seminars were held at this year’s CHTF, where attendees discussed technological trends and sci-tech innovation.
