Longgang Children’s Park, the largest children’s park in Shenzhen, is scheduled to go into trial operation at the end of this month, according to Longgang District’s urban management and law enforcement bureau.

At present, the park has finished construction. The park has already carried out multiple rounds of testing to guarantee that everything runs well.

The bureau said that it would no longer conduct large-scale testing as the park’s opening is imminent.

Covering an area of 323,600 square meters, Longgang Children’s Park is located on the north side of the intersection of Yanlong Boulevard and Aixin Road in Longcheng Subdistrict.

To accommodate the various needs of children of all ages, the park is organized into three main sections and houses 19 sets of powered entertainment equipment and 10 sets of unpowered themed equipment.

The children’s park’s two major attractions are an 88-meter-diameter Ferris wheel and a 108-seat pirate ship, which is said to be Asia’s largest.

Before the park opens, the bureau encouraged the public to be patient and not enter without permission. Tourist reservations will be required during the trial operation period to create a more comfortable park experience.

As the park’s parking spaces are limited, residents are advised to choose green transportation.
