Munaozongge Festival

Munaozongge is a Chinese national intangible cultural heritage item. It is the grandest traditional carnival for the Jingpo ethnic group. Originating from religious activities dedicated to worshipping the sun god, the festival incorporates various folk customs and activities such as music and dance, painting and sculpture, costume design, and religious rituals. This weekend in Splendid China, visitors will have a chance to take part in this grand celebration.

Women’s Day event at One Avenue

Along with the Shenzhen Women’s Federation, One Avenue has rolled out an event named “Beauty Declaration,” which includes five exhibitions, a market with over 100 stands, and more. Female visitors have the opportunity to engage with the practice of crafting floral headdresses, a Chinese intangible cultural heritage item, and receive balloon roses from the shopping mall.

Shenzhen Rose Show

The 2024 Shenzhen Rose Show’s main venue is set at Shenzhen Renmin Park in Luohu District with subvenues at Honey Park in Futian, Songgang Rose Garden in Bao’an, Qinghu Cultural Park in Longhua, and Kaiming Park in Guangming. This rose show is also a hub of cultural activities. The schedule includes an exhibition on qipao and “new Chinese style” trends, and a market fair, among other attractions.

Discounts for women in Guangming Farm

Take the chance to watch cow-milking and other performances! From today to Match 10, female visitors can get tickets for Guangming Farm at a discounted price of 38 yuan (original price is 80 yuan). Featured activities in this time of the year include cow-milking performances, feeding cows, interacting with animals, and picking fresh fuits. Cow-milking performance take place at 3:30 p.m. on weekends, and at 10 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. on weekdays.

Laughing sitcom ‘Goodbye, Mr. Loser’

In 2015, the movie “Goodbye, Mr. Loser” stood out as a black horse, earning a box office of 1.4 billion yuan (US$194.47 million). The movie's namesake stage play, first staged in 2013, has remained popular with its incredible comedic plot design. In 120 minutes, the movie’s plot is amplified to show audiences more vivid characters. And as the plot develops, audiences can find in the performance some classic songs from the movie.
