Free 7-day accommodation for fresh graduates

A recent report released by Zhilian Zhaopin, a Chinese online recruitment platform, showed that in 2023, Shenzhen was the top destination for individuals born after 1995 among Chinese cities. With a thriving innovation and entrepreneurship environment and progressive policies, Shenzhen is gathering more and more young talents to work and live in the city.

Part of the city's efforts to support young talents is the Shenzhen Youth Community Project, initiated by the Shenzhen Municipal Committee of the Communist Youth League in 2013. Fresh university graduates or senior students who come to Shenzhen to work have the option of temporary living — Shenzhen Youth Community or Grads Home (青年驿站), which offers seven-day free accommodation.

In Grads Homes, each bedroom is equipped with a bathroom, heater, air conditioner, and free Wi-Fi. Laundry and free parking facilities are available. They also feature book bars, activity rooms, and meeting rooms, providing graduates with various services such as transport guides, rental instructions, talent policy interpretation, career advice, and team-building activities.

Eligible applicants must be fresh university graduates within one year (some Grads Homes accept senior students), looking for jobs in Shenzhen and without residency in the city. Applicants must provide proof of health and can only secure the Shenzhen Youth Community's free accommodation once.

To apply, use the WeChat miniprogram “青年驿站” (then click “住宿”) or visit the website https://home.szyouth.cn/ (then click “申请入住”). Since the application process involves examination, it is recommended to apply three to 15 days before the intended stay.

Luohu International Talent Home 罗湖区国际人才驿站

Luohu International Talent Home is exclusively for foreigners, graduates who have studied abroad, and talents from Hong Kong, Macao, or Taiwan. Those who hold Shenzhen Excellent Talent cards (鹏城优才卡) or Luohu Excellent Talent cards (罗湖优才卡), or engage in postdoctoral research in China or possessing other talents recognized by Luohu District are eligible for an extended free stay of up to 30 days.
