

9,820 exhibitors seek opportunities at Canton Fair Phase II

A total of 9,820 companies are showcasing their products at the second phase of the 135th session of the China Import and Export Fair, which opened in Guangzhou today.
With a total area of 515,000 square meters, the second phase of the fair, also known as the Canton Fair, will last for five days. Among its 24,658 booths, 5,150 branded booths were set up by 936 branded enterprises. Among the 9,820 exhibitors, more than 1,100 companies are participating in the fair for the first time.
Themed "Quality Home Life," the second phase have 15 exhibition areas for household goods, gifts, decorations, building materials, and furniture. Among them, the exhibition area for building materials and furniture is nearly 140,000 square meters, with 6,448 booths and 3,049 exhibitors; the exhibition area for household goods covers over 170,000 square meters, with 8,281 booths and 3,642 exhibitors; the exhibition area for gifts and decorations is nearly 200,000 square meters, with 9,371 booths and 3,740 exhibitors.
Exhibitors of the second phase had uploaded a total of 1.08 million exhibits on the fair's online platform by April 18, including 300,000 new products, 90,000 independent intellectual property products, 210,000 green and low-carbon products, and 30,000 smart products.
A total of 220 companies from 30 overseas countries and regions are participating in the second phase, including exhibitors from Türkiye, South Korea, India, Pakistan, Malaysia, Thailand, Egypt, and Japan, exhibiting at the fair's import area. Displaying kitchen utensils, household goods, and gifts, 144 o fthe exhibitors are from 18 BRI countries, accounting for 65% of the total.
A pairing event for household goods buyers and suppliers is scheduled to be held at the Canton Fair Complex tomorrow, where companies selling kitchen utensils, household goods, and gifts from Germany, Italy, Japan, and South Korea will display their products and meet Chinese import traders.
