Starting this Saturday, Shenzhen Railway will unveil a new train schedule featuring high-speed services to Dali in Yunnan Province and Taiyuan in Shanxi Province for the first time.
The initiative aims to boost tourism opportunities and strengthen ties between the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and inland cities.
Two new pairs of trains — G2976/7 and G2975/8 — will operate between Shenzhen North Railway Station and Dali, completing the journey in 9 hours and 39 minutes and 10 hours, respectively. Compared with routes via Guangzhou South Railway Station, travel times will be reduced by approximately 2 hours. Similarly, the high-speed trains to Taiyuan — G680 and G679 — will take 8 hours and 37 minutes and 8 hours and 17 minutes, respectively.
Following the introduction of the new schedule, Shenzhen North Railway Station will operate a total of 710 high-speed trains.
