

HK Palace Museum, M+ offer free visits July 1

To celebrate the 27th anniversary of Hong Kong’s return to the motherland, the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority in Hong Kong has announced free admission to some exhibitions at the Hong Kong Palace Museum (HKPM) and M+ on July 1.
Visitors planning to visit HKPM’s thematic exhibitions July 1 must book their free tickets through the HKPM website, the West Kowloon Cultural District website, the West Kowloon Cultural District mobile app, or via Cityline. Tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis while stocks last.

Visitors who wish to visit “The Hong Kong Jockey Club Series: Yuan Ming Yuan — Art and Culture of an Imperial Garden-Palace” and “The Adorned Body: French Fashion and Jewelry 1770–1910 From the Musée des Arts Décoratifs, Paris” exhibitions at HKPM should still purchase tickets online or on site. Holders of special exhibition tickets are entitled to access both special and thematic exhibitions.
Visitors planning to visit M+ exhibitions covered by general admission tickets July 1 do not need to book their tickets in advance but are required to queue at the Artist Square Entrance before entering. M+ will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on that day but the cut-off time for queuing might be advanced to 5 p.m. to ensure those in the queue can be admitted during the opening hours.

Visitors planning to visit “The Hong Kong Jockey Club Series: Noir & Blanc — A Story of Photography” and “I. M. Pei: Life Is Architecture” exhibitions should buy tickets online or on site.
Free admission will be offered to more venues July 1, including the Hong Kong Science Museum, the Hong Kong Space Museum, and the Hong Kong Museum of Art. (SD News)
