Window of the World commemorated its 30th anniversary with a spectacular 30-minute drone fleet performance and fireworks show at the theme park Tuesday evening in Nanshan District.

The event, organized by the park, aimed to express gratitude to its visitors for their continued support.

During the drone show, around 1,000 drones formed various  characters and slogans such as “I Love SZ,” “We Are the World,” and “Window of the World.” They also recreated famous architectural  landmarks and entertainment attractions from the park, delighting the  audience with their creativity.

The subsequent grand musical fireworks display, consisting of 12 themed chapters, lit up the night sky. More than 1,000 fireworks added to the festive atmosphere, stirring the enthusiasm of the visitors.

Window  of the World officially opened its doors June 18, 1994, captivating  numerous tourists. Over the past 30 years, the theme park has welcomed  nearly 100 million visitors, generating almost 10 billion yuan (US$1.37  billion) in revenue.

The  park has hosted over 500 foreign dignitaries and held prominent events  such as the CCTV Spring Festival Galas, the inauguration ceremony of the  initial China Hi-Tech Fair, the celebration marking the 10th anniversary of Hong Kong's return to the motherland, and the closing ceremony of the 26th World University Games in 2011, amongst other significant occasions.

The  transformation of Window of the World over the past three decades  mirrors the remarkable progress of China's tourism and cultural sectors.  Beyond its identity as a cultural theme park, it stands as a pivotal  gateway through which Shenzhen connects with the world, displaying the  rich cultural tapestry of global traditions.

Concurrently,  the 29th International Beer Festival and the newly unveiled  dinosaur-themed water park, Jurassic Water World, debuted on the same  day, providing visitors with a multifaceted experience that blends beer  culture, top-tier performances, contemporary music, and vibrant entertainment projects.
