

Musk praises Shenzhen drone show

Elon Musk retweeted a video of a drone performance in China on Sept. 9, commenting with a like and saying "Impressive."

The footage in the video was of drone performances that broke two Guinness World Records at Shenzhen Universiade Sports Center on Sept. 4 and 5.
These drone performances were carried out by Shenzhen High Great Innovation Technology Development Co.,Ltd, a technology company based in Longgang.

On Sept. 4, 7,998 drones broke the world record for forming "the largest drone light image." This "super sky curtain" created by drones provided a unique visual experience.
On Sept. 5, 8,100 drones took off and landed simultaneously, setting the world record for the "simultaneous flying." An 18-minute light show titled "Let Love Spin the Universe," designed by the lighting designer of the Paris Olympic Games, was unfolded in the night sky over the Shenzhen Universiade Sports Center.

Since the beginning of this year, Longgang District has been hosting regular drone performances. In the first flight performance Aug. 3, 2,000 drones created a dreamy night sky interwoven with technology and aesthetics, in conjunction with the tour concert of Joker Xue, a popular Chinese singer and songwriter.
At 8 p.m. Sept.15, there will be another drone formation show at the sports center. During the performance, thousands of drones will take to the sky, weaving vibrant patterns to create a visual feast of "technology + culture."
