This year marks the 700th anniversary of Marco Polo’s death. The “700th Anniversary of Marco Polo’s Death — Sino-Italian Illustration Joint Exhibition” is being held at Nantou Ancient Town in Nanshan District.

The exhibition features over 40 original prints from works such as “The Chinese Empire Illustrated” and “Edmund Dulac’s Picture Books,” conveying the Silk Road spirit of peace, cooperation, openness, inclusiveness, mutual learning, and win-win collaboration.
Additionally, the exhibition delves into the cultural core of the Maritime Silk Road, selecting over 20 pieces (sets) of works based on three major aspects: geography and customs, cultural arts, and intangible cultural heritage. This aims to showcase the rich historical legacy and diverse cultural exchanges along the Maritime Silk Road.
