Forum spotlights AI's role in industrial sector

The 13th World Industrial Development Forum, which focused on how AI can empower real-world scenarios and drive the development of new quality productive forces, took place Friday in Bao'an District.

The forum attracted more than 300 scholars, experts, and representatives from esteemed research institutions and leading companies in related industries.

A total of 14 guests delivered speeches covering topics such as AI, AI models, digital intelligence technology, global branding, and ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) in sustainable development.

During his speech, Wu Guangquan, the head of the Federation of Shenzhen Industries, highlighted that new technologies, particularly AI, are being integrated into the manufacturing sector, serving as a fundamental force for advancing digitalization and intelligence within manufacturing. Wu emphasized the federation's approach in embracing AI to facilitate companies in their transformation and upgrading processes.

On the same day, the 7th Shenzhen Industrial Award was officially launched at the forum. Regarded as the "Oscars" of Shenzhen's industrial sector, the award aims to establish industry standards and recognize excellence within the field.
