The tunnel boring work for Shenzhen Metro Line 15, the city's first circular route, has recently commenced. The operation of shield machines has begun on two sections: from Qianbao Station to West Logistics Station, and from Bao’an Park Station to Liutang Station.

Line 15 marks the initiation of Phase IV of Shenzhen's Metro construction plan. This circular line comprises 24 stations along its 32.2-kilometer route, serving as a crucial transportation artery on the western side of Shenzhen. With 22 construction sites currently active, Line 15 connects at Tinghai Road Station and forms a pivotal part of the city's evolving metro network.

Covering a length of 2.22 kilometers with 2 stations, this entirely underground line is nearing completion, with 88% of decoration and installation finalized. Equipment installation stands at 95%, while system engineering work has reached 99% completion. It's anticipated that Phase II of Line 7 will become operational by the year's end, alongside four other Metro lines.

Additionally, Phase IV of Line 3, spanning from Longcheng Station to Liulian Station in Pingdi, Longgang District, encompasses a distance of 9.28 kilometers. Line 5's extension, connecting Huangbeiling to Grand Theater Station, will soon be operational, covering a length of 2.88 kilometers and featuring three stations, including the crucial Grand Theater Station that acts as a transfer point for Line 5, Line 1, and Line 2.

Lastly, the Phase II extension of Line 11 from Gangxia North Station to Hongling South Station, totaling 4.39 kilometers and incorporating stations such as Huaqiang South Station and Hongling South Station, is also progressing steadily towards completion.
