Blue alert issued for strong monsoon

Shenzhen issued a blue alert for strong monsoon weather in Yantian District, Dapeng New Area, Dapeng Bay, and Daya Bay at 4:35 a.m. yesterday. The alert is anticipated to remain in effect until Friday, according to the city’s weather forecast yesterday.

Affected by cold air from the north and Typhoon Trami, which is projected to enter the South China Sea today, Shenzhen is expected experience a slight temperature drop, with lows reaching 21 degrees Celsius today and tomorrow.
Later this week, maximum gusts in the city’s coastal areas will be around level 9 on the Beaufort scale, which corresponds to strong gale-force winds between 75 and 88 kilometers per hour. Residents are advised to prepare accordingly.
