The event is the first music performance of the "50 Years of China-Malaysia Relations: The Integration of Arts and Culture and Series of Activities of the ASEAN Youth Arts Festival on the 50th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between China and Malaysia" and was held at the Beijing Foreign Affairs Language and Culture Center on November 5.

Winson Gu, the director of the international music center at the SIFC, speaks to the diplomats.

The activity came a day after Chinese President Xi Jinping met with Prime Minister of Malaysia Anwar Ibrahim in Beijing, during which Xi called on the two sides to take the opportunity of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties to promote and enrich the China-Malaysia community with a shared future.

The students and teachers from the SIFC presented a professional and fantastic performance during the event, adding more color and significance to this important moment.

Nearly 10 diplomats from ASEAN, Central Asian, and other Belt and Road participating countries attended the event. Winson Gu, the director of the international music center at the SIFC, addressed the diplomats and sang a classic excerpt from the opera "The Marriage of Figaro" by Austrian composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, receiving high praise from the diplomats.

The music performance event is not only an artistic celebration but also an important bridge for artistic and cultural exchange between young people from China, Malaysia, and ASEAN countries.

Founded in 2004 by a team of professors from Shenzhen University, the SIFC is one of the oldest international schools in Shenzhen to implement the college preparatory courses, AP curriculum and American high school courses.

Over the 20 years, the SIFC has helped thousands of students to get enrolled by well-known universities, and enjoys a high reputation in the international education field in Shenzhen and the country.
