The final showdown (CTJ-C400) of the GBA U-Series tennis tournament unfolded at the Mission Hills Ecological Sports Center in Longhua District from Nov. 30 to Dec. 1.
After fierce competition among more than 120 participants, champions emerged in six categories. Last year's U12 boys' singles champion, Chen Changxin, triumphed in the U14 boys' singles this year. Other victors included Chen Zhepu in the U12 boys' singles, Chen Yifan in the U12 girls' singles, Liu Jiacheng in the U10 boys' singles, Wang Junqing in the U10 girls' singles, and Zhang Xuting in the U8 short net category.
The event, spanning over half a year, consisted of three qualifying rounds leading up to the finals and drew players from cities like Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Dongguan, Hong Kong, Xiamen, and Haikou. This tour has been established as a Class C event in the national teen’s tennis points ranking series.
Set against the backdrop of the picturesque Mission Hills Shenzhen Resort, the tournament unfolded at the Ecological Sports Center, boasting tournament-grade courts meeting international standards specified by the International Tennis Federation. Known for hosting significant tennis events like the International Women's Tennis Challenge, Davis Cup Asia-Pacific matches, China Amateur Tennis Master Cup, and Longhua International Tennis Open, this venue provided a fitting stage for the culmination of this exciting youth tennis event.
