Under the direction of its artisticdirector Tomomi Nishimoto, the Illuminart Philharmonic Orchestra will delightlocal music enthusiasts with a program of classical masterpieces this Saturday.

Trained at the Saint Petersburg StateConservatory in Russia, Nishimoto became the first foreigner to serve as theprincipal guest conductor for both the State Symphony Orchestra of Russia(Svetlanov Symphony Orchestra) and the St. Petersburg Mussorgsky State AcademicOpera and Ballet Theater.
In 2012, a group of internationallysuccessful, award-winning musicians gathered around Nishimoto to establish theIlluminart Philharmonic Orchestra, aiming to transcend nationality andconventionality. The orchestra gained global recognition for its participationin the Vatican International Music Festival in 2013, becoming the first Asianorchestra to perform at the “Cardinal's Mass” and garnering acclaim worldwide.The orchestra continues to deliver live concerts, some of which are broadcastworldwide.
For the Shenzhen concert, they will presentMozart’s overture to “The Marriage of Figaro,” Beethoven’s “Symphony No. 7 in AMajor, Op. 92,” and Tchaikovsky’s “Symphony No. 5 in E Minor, Op. 64.”
