10 confirmed dead in landslide

Ten people were confirmed dead and 19 were still missing as of Monday, following a landslide Feb. 8 in Junlian County, Yibin City, Sichuan Province, according to local authorities.

The disaster happened in Jinping Village, burying 10 residential houses and a production building. It also impacted more than 100 hectares of farmland. More than 3,000 rescuers from various departments participated in the rescue, according to the emergency command center, domestic media reported.
